Your Own Kind

I am a firm believer of the saying, "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger."

Its a very strong statement one can have as their daily mantra, however, when times get rough on some areas in your life where you encounter rude, uneducated, and mannerless beings in a form of a colleague, a housemate, or your own kind.

I have never been so annoyed, not by sight, but by hearing noises from the thin wall adjacent to the kitchen (yes, my bed is just beside a wall, on the other side is the dining area). As a paying housemate, who religiously shares the electricity bills, cleaning, sanitising things at the same time, it is only right to inform your co-housemates, that there will be a party of 12 to 15 people, with annoying shouts at this unholy hour.

I was never informed, and its a complete disrespect, especially if your housemates brings the most annoying people ever existed in the island. Annoying in terms of loudness of voice and unnecessary bantering about work. Home is where you recharge, and your home should not be a place where people from your workplace dwells every week and discuss work matters over alcohol.
