Initiative When Least Expected

I am glad that after two months of searching for the right guy to handle the operations side of the project, this guy finally has his eyes set on the project's goal. It was evident earlier today when I visited his daughter in the hospital - she was confined for two days due to urinary tract infection. Anyway, he is very hands-on in taking care of his family, and I said this is his time to shine, and make a move for his career.

I was surprised when he called me after the visit, telling me the things that he will do the next day, and his plans in juggling his time between work and his sick daughter. That's initiative at pressure, and I hope he maintains it well throughout the duration of the project.

No more lazy days for you.
