Magnitude 5.4 Earthquake Hits Manila

Manila, Philippines: An earthquake struck the Philippines with a magnitude of 5.4 and felt all over Metropolitan Manila around 6:38 PM. According to updates from PHILVOCS, the earthquake was caused by a movement in the Manila Trench - which is not connected to any earthquake fault systems neatby.

The tremors felt earlier came nine days after the huge Japan Quake, which caused thousands of casualties and millions of dollars worth of damage along the Northeast coastal areas of Japan.

There were no damages reported as of this time.
